Job summary

Upgrade Resources in Dallas, TX is seeking a Superintendent - Process Piping to lead multi-job piping projects on-site. You will coordinate trades, supervise teams, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion of facilities and renovations.

The role requires a strong background in construction management, blueprints/BIM interpretation, LEAN practices, and relevant plumbing licenses or certifications. On-site supervision offers growth within a premier MEP organization with ESOP and growth

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
Texas Journeyman or Master Plumber license required if piping work falls under plumbing code jurisdiction.
OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain prior to starting.
NCCER Pipefitting certification (craft or journeyman-level).
AWS welding qualification or inspector credential preferred for welded piping systems.
Medical Gas Piping Installation endorsement preferred for healthcare projects.
Construction Superintendent certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction management.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, coordination and BIM drawings, submittals, specifications, details, and job orders.
Understanding of all facets of the construction process with big-picture planning.

Responsibilities

Lead projects and provide technical expertise to project partners, ensuring adherence to construction processes for safe, high-quality project completion.
Manage, coach, and develop direct reports with performance conversations.
Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules and allocate personnel.
Confirm earned value of work in place and forecasted percent completions.
Inspect work in progress and completed work for conformity to specs.
Conduct safety observations and eliminate site hazards to reduce incidents.
Apply LEAN, pull planning, six-week look-ahead and value mapping in projects.
Budget projects by estimating worker-hours and material takeoffs for changes.
Resolve productivity gaps and interface issues; advise on schedule difficulties.
Maintain liaison with Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to support schedule and inspections.
Conduct pre-job and planning meetings to ensure understanding of terms, clauses, schedules, and requirements.
