Job summary

QCS Staffing is seeking a Process Piping Inspector for a US Texas-based 12-month contract on a life sciences manufacturing project. You will lead quality inspections of process piping and related systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

You will witness tests, participate in passivation, respond to NCRs, and support commissioning and startup readiness. The role requires experience with hygienic systems (WFI, CIP) and field/shop inspections of piping

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting process piping systems in pharma/biotech/life sciences or chemical/industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of hygienic/clean utility systems including WFI, CIP, acids/solvents, and Clean Steam/Condensate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections of process piping, utility piping, and process equipment installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Witness, verify, and sign off testing, passivation, and inspection activities for hygienic process systems like WFI, CIP, Acid/Solvent, and Clean Steam systems.
• Perform field and shop inspections, overseeing piping fabrication, installation, equipment setting, and preservation activities.
• Identify, document, and escalate quality issues (NCRs, observations, QORs) with timely resolution and reporting.

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Texas, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Process Piping Inspector to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

What You’ll Deliver

• Conduct quality inspections of process piping, utility piping, and process equipment installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Witness, verify, and sign off testing, passivation, and inspection activities for hygienic process systems including WFI, CIP, Acid/Solvent, and Clean Steam systems.
• Perform field and shop inspections, providing day-to-day oversight of piping fabrication, installation, equipment setting, and preservation activities.
• Identify, document, and escalate quality issues, including NCRs, observations, and QORs, while ensuring timely resolution and accurate quality reporting.

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience inspecting process piping systems within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, chemical, or industrial construction projects.
• Strong experience with hygienic and clean utility systems, including WFI, CIP, Acid/Solvent Systems, and Clean Steam/Condensate.
• Experience performing field and shop inspections of piping fabrication, installation, welding, and process equipment.
• Demonstrated involvement in testing, passivation, Mechanical Completion, turnover, commissioning, and startup readiness activities.
