Job summary

Dennis Group seeks a Process Piping Designer to collaborate with process engineers on 2D equipment layouts and 3D models for our food and beverage facility projects. You will generate process/mechanical drawings from P&IDs, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and help prepare bid packages and construction drawings.

You should have 4–7 years in piping layout, AutoCAD, and 3D CAD tools like CADWorx/Plant3D, with PID interpretation and travel readiness to client sites.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree is required; a bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field is preferred.
• 4-7 years of piping and equipment layout experience in food/beverage facilities or similar.
• 4-7 years of AutoCAD experience.
• 4-7 years of 3D CAD experience using CADWorx, Plant3D or similar programs; Revit piping experience.
• Familiarity with XREFS and basic drawing setup.
• Ability to interpret PIDs and translate into piping layouts.
• Willingness to travel to client sites (not less than 25% annually).

Responsibilities

• Equipment layout design for 2D and 3D in food and beverage facilities.
• Plot drawings and create PDFs; update drawings from red lines.
• Develop general 2D/3D drafting and prepare isometrics and details.
• Conceptual platform design for structural review.
• Create piping drawings from PIDs and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and control disciplines.
• Manage and oversee process and utility piping details; assist field coordination.
