Job summary

Ascend Performance Materials seeks a Production Engineer to provide chemical engineering expertise across process units, optimizing capacity, yields, energy, safety and quality. You will report to the site Production Engineering Manager and collaborate with Technology, Project Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering required; strong technical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced plant environment.
• Experience with Six Sigma and ISO 9001 quality systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Optimize unit economic performance by improving yields and reducing energy usage.
• Improve reliability and maximize OEE with Operations and Maintenance teams.
• Support safety programs and participate in PHAs, LOPAs, MOC, and incident investigations.
• Provide process design input for small capital/expense projects.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and act as production expert.
