Job summary

Ascend Performance Materials is seeking a Processor to safely operate the manufacturing unit and support production plans. The role covers monitoring operations, basic maintenance, safety permitting, and quality improvement through data-driven tools.

Candidates should have a HS diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver license, and be prepared for a rotating shift with overtime as needed. Strong teamwork and safety leadership are essential for success at Ascend.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED; associate degree preferred
• Valid U.S. driver license
• Education/experience alternatives: associate degree, chemical operator experience, or military service

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain day-to-day unit operations to meet production plans.
• Perform minor maintenance and assist with startup/shutdown activities.
• Handle HRP/JSA/Safe Work Permitting for unit operations.
• Apply statistical tools to improve product quality and participate in improvement teams.
• Communicate operations status with peers, managers, and customers.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Ensure plant equipment start/stop, isolation, and decontamination per policy.
• Comply with government regulations from federal/state agencies.
• Participate in improvement initiatives as required.
• Commit to a 2-year Emergency Response Team assignment on hire date.
