Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED completed.
• Associates degree or coursework in chemistry or chemical engineering is a plus.
• Able to work an 8-hour daily shift with occasional rotation and overtime.
• 5+ years of chemical plant operations experience (distillation and HVM filtration systems preferred).
• 5+ years of PLC or DCS operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pilot systems according to standard operating procedures.
• Operate hand/fork trucks for material movements within operations areas.
• Adjust process parameters as instructed by Process Engineer.
• Participate in daily operations planning meetings and meet safety, quality, reliability and production goals.
• Train and demonstrate startup, shutdown and emergency procedures for pilot systems.
• Monitor system operation and adjust parameters as instructed by Process Engineer.
• Collect and submit QC samples.
• Participate in safety and process-control reviews.
• Maintain inventories for consumables and pilot system spare parts, equipment and tools.
