Job summary

AimHire is hiring a Process Operator for a global specialty chemicals company in Wallingford, CT. This direct-hire, on-site role starts at $36.95/hr with raises to $40.95/hr in 18 months, plus shift differentials on 2nd and 3rd shifts. No chemical experience required; paid training of 3–6 months.

Responsibilities include operating downstream process equipment, material handling, SAP entries, and ensuring safe, compliant production. Local candidates only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Chemical operator or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow complex written instructions and batch tickets in English.
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
• Must live locally; no relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated and manual downstream process equipment, including filtration, packaging, centrifuges, filter presses, and kettles.
• Charge raw materials into reactors, blend tanks, and bins as directed by leads and supervisors.
• Pump, transfer, and package finished product into bulk storage, tank wagons, drums, pails, and totes.
• Operate a forklift and move tank wagons and materials around the site (training provided).
• Take samples, monitor tank temperatures, and make process adjustments.
• Label and track all drums, pails, and samples accurately.
• Complete SAP entries, batch records, and other documentation on time.
• Inspect equipment for safe operation and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Handle hazardous materials and waste safely, following all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Communicate with production and plant teams to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
