Position Overview

Suniva is seeking a Production Operator to join our dynamic and diverse team on our night shift. Operates production tools and processes to consistently meet daily objectives in Photovoltaic cells production following required safety and quality standards. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment.

Required Shift: Rotating 12 hour night shift - 7pm - 7am.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the start-up and continuing operation of a 24x7 Solar Cell manufacturing facility.
  • Operate process tools in manufacturing solar cells to achieve daily manufacturing objectives goals. Produce finished products within quality specifications and desired yield.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and other manufacturing and engineering procedures to meet productivity, quality, cost, goals, and customer standards.
  • Transport wafer carriers and carts from one operation to the next.
  • Work with maintenance and engineering to troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and quality, including the 5S system.
  • Communicate and assist the production team with troubleshooting production issues, day-to-day activities and process improvements.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by team lead, supervisor, or management.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in manufacturing
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to interact with automated equipment with computer interfaces.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to treat all team members respectfully.
  • Experience in Photovoltaic or other Semiconductor manufacturing preferred
  • Able to work nights.

  • Required to verbally talk and/or listen.
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects repetitively frequently.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull.
  • The employee is required to stand and walk throughout each shift.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • May reach above shoulder height and below the waist frequently.
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (including steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron, and arm guards). Performing work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with moderate to heavy exposure to loud equipment and toxic chemicals.
