Job summary

AIRCO is hiring a Process Operator for our New Britain, PA facility to support safe and efficient operation of our production systems. The role is shift-based in a 24/7 environment and involves monitoring equipment, logging data, and upholding strict safety standards.

This entry-level position progresses within AIRCO's three-level operator progression, with training and supervision provided as you gain qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificate or associate degree or military/industrial training preferred.
• Experience in chemical processing or related industries preferred.
• Ability to read SOPs, safety procedures and P&IDs.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned process equipment following SOPs and supervisor guidance.
• Monitor process conditions using control systems and instruments.
• Conduct routine rounds, collect samples, inspect equipment for leaks or abnormalities.
• Safely handle hazardous chemicals and process materials.
• Respond to alarms and deviations per SOPs and training.
• Record accurate data, shift notes, and logs; maintain handover quality.
