Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Operator to join our client in the Free State. The role focuses on monitoring and controlling production lines, ensuring quality and adherence to SOPs. Training will be provided, and the position supports stable employment in a dynamic industrial setting.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable and able to work shifts, including nights and weekends. You will operate machinery, perform checks, record data and contribute to continuous process

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/production is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and SOPs.
• Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical equipment is a plus.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery according to SOPs.
• Perform routine checks to ensure proper functioning and identify issues.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain production rates and quality.
• Monitor process parameters and keep them within limits.

About the Role

The Process Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling various stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency and product quality. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).


• Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.


• Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain optimal production rates and quality standards.


• Monitor process parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, flow rates) and make adjustments to ensure they remain within specified limits.


• Collect product samples for quality testing and perform basic in-process checks.


• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.


• Record production data accurately, including output, downtime, and material usage.


• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or process deviations to supervisors.


• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.


• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Process Operator or in a similar manufacturing/production role is advantageous but not essential; extensive training will be provided.
