About the Role

Our client, a prominent manufacturing facility located in Welkom, Free State , is seeking skilled and motivated Production Operatives to join their expanding team. This is an on-site role where you will be directly involved in the manufacturing process, operating machinery and performing tasks that ensure the efficient and high-quality production of goods. You will work under the guidance of production supervisors and will be expected to adhere strictly to safety procedures and operational guidelines. Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery and equipment as per standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform assigned tasks in the production process, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. Conduct routine checks on machinery to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions immediately. Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to general housekeeping of the production area. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Assist in material handling and preparation as required for the production line. Identify and report any quality defects or deviations from standards. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets. Participate in basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Contribute to process improvement suggestions for enhanced efficiency and safety.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is essential. Ability to operate and monitor industrial machinery. Understanding of basic safety procedures in a factory setting. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
