Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to oversee and optimize production lines at their Welkom facility. The role focuses on designing and implementing efficient processes, implementing lean principles, and mentoring junior staff on-site in a dynamic environment focused on innovation and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in manufacturing/process engineering, strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, and experience with CAD and simulation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC.
• Experience with process design, implementation, and optimization.
• Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and tools to reduce waste and improve workflow efficiency.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to oversee and optimize production lines at their facility in Welkom. This role is fundamental to ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of all manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes, working hands-on with machinery and production teams to achieve operational excellence. This is an on-site position, offering a significant opportunity to contribute directly to the success of the company's production capabilities in the Free State and to mentor junior engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities
