Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a process operator to support cheese production. You will perform packaging, boxing, and basic equipment setup while adhering to GMP and QA standards. You will maintain cleanliness, assist with line setup, and communicate across departments to meet daily deadlines.

Responsibilities include rapid packing, safe handling, and following all safety procedures. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with bilingual Spanish-English being an advantage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or 6 months of equivalent experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug, background and criminal checks.
• Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make boxes in boxing area and pack cheese from plastic trays into boxes.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and production area using water, soap, chemicals, etc.
• Maintain production and cleaning charts and follow all GMP and QA standards.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure the area stays clean and organized.

Job description

Process operator performs an array of functions including maintaining, breaking down and setting up equipment and machinery, while troubleshooting and resolving basic to moderate operating issues. Process operator is responsible for processing finished or raw materials, while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and communicating effectively with all departments and meeting daily deadlines.

• * Make boxes in boxing area.
• * Pack cheese from plastic trays into designated boxes
• * Clean and sanitize equipment & production area using water, soap, chemicals, etc
• * Ability to pack boxes at a fast pace.
• * Ability to manually catch and line up cheese to be hand-wrapped.
• * Ability to keep up with conveyor speed.
• * Clean and sanitize all equipment used in processing, the flloors, and the walls in the finish room.
• * Maintain production and cleaning chart reords.
• * Follow all safety procedures.
• * Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• * Follow all Quality Assurance standards.
• * Keep work area clean and neat at all time
