Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. seeks a versatile plant team member to support operations across Grinding Room, Meat Control, Feather Control, and Raw Material Receiving, performing sampling and documentation to monitor process performance.

You will follow Standard Work Instructions and Lean principles, work safely with company guidelines, assist in maintaining production speeds, and record data to support real-time decision-making.

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to multiple production areas.
• Understanding of sanitation and safety practices.
• Experience with basic sampling and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Provides flexible coverage across Grinding Room, Meat Control, Feather Control, Raw Material Receiving, Blood System operations, sampling functions, and general sanitation as needed.
• Collects and analyzes hourly samples across all three systems, plus fat, feather, and blood samples to monitor process performance and product quality.
• Makes or recommends process adjustments based on sample results to maintain optimal operating conditions.
• Supports daily plant operations between sampling intervals and assists in key areas to ensure systems run efficiently.
• Reads and follows Standard Work Instructions and Lean principles.
