Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a dedicated team member to support plant operations by monitoring rendering processes, performing sampling, documentation, and helping maintain safe, efficient performance across major areas.

You will collect hourly samples, analyze results, and help adjust processes to maintain optimal conditions. The role requires following Standard Work Instructions, Lean principles, and safety guidelines while operating equipment and documenting data for real-time decisions.

Qualifications

• Able to work in wet, noisy, dusty, humid, hot or cold environments.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand on feet for an entire shift and may exceed 10 hours.
• Wear PPE and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect hourly samples across Grinding Room, Meat Control, Feather Control, Raw Material Receiving, Blood System operations, and sampling functions.
• Analyze samples (fat, feather, blood) to monitor process performance and product quality.
• Recommend process adjustments based on sample results to maintain optimal operating conditions.
• Support daily plant operations between sampling intervals and assist in key areas to ensure systems run efficiently.
• Read and follow Standard Work Instructions and Training Within Industry, applying Lean rules and principles.
• Operate equipment as assigned; monitor production speeds and quality of finished product.
• Complete required forms and accurate documentation to track data for real-time decision-making.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and communicate hazards and improvements to leadership.
