Brown and Caldwell, Inc. is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer to join our Design Services National Mechanical Discipline team.

You will design process-mechanical elements for environmental projects, size equipment, and coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and controls teams to develop final drawings and specs. Responsibilities include leading simple designs, calculations, BIM modeling, submittal reviews, and site observations during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering or related field required.
• EIT license required.
• Minimum 2 years process mechanical engineering experience; coordination with interdisciplinary teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of simple process-mechanical elements.
• Lead in preparing simple calculations for piping and equipment per project requirements.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive solutions for simple design elements.
• Guide BIM professionals to create accurate 3D models and contract drawings for simple design elements.
• Review construction phase submittals to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Respond to contractor RFIs during construction.
• Perform site observations during construction for simple design elements.
• Adapt and take on additional assignments as needed.
