Job summary

Turbocoating Corp. DBA Lincotek Surface Solutions in North Carolina is seeking a Process Manufacturing Technician who will partner with Engineering and Production to provide first-level process support on the manufacturing floor, execute production processes, and collect KPI data.

You will assist with qualification runs, troubleshoot issues, document results, and support process engineers with approved program changes, tooling, masking, and setup modifications; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering, Machining Technology, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing/process support role.
• Strong production support mindset with the ability to respond quickly to shop-floor needs.
• Proficient use of CAM simulation, existing program modifications, and recovery programs.
• Experience with GOM/Blue Light Scan and process data collection.
• Strong technical math skills to accurately support machining, coating, masking, tooling, and process operations.
• Ability to interpret drawings/prints and follow approved process documentation.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude/experience.
• Ability to use measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to recognize issues requiring Process Engineer review, approval, validation, or root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary first-level technical support resource for production cells, responding quickly to shop-floor issues and supporting operators during daily production.
• Take the lead on ensuring new operators are trained thoroughly on all the technical aspects of operating the equipment they have been assigned to along with how to properly access work instructions and document defects.
• Follow parts through the production process to document process data, identify issues, troubleshoot abnormalities, and communicate findings to Engineering and Production.
• Execute established process instructions, parameter sheets, component forms, SOPs, work instructions, and other approved production documentation.
• Provide feedback to Process or Product Engineering when documentation, process instructions, tooling, masking, or setup practices require review or improvement.
• Perform machine setup verification, tooling checks, masking checks, equipment setup support, and process readiness activities prior to production or qualification runs.
• Operate equipment as needed to evaluate approved tooling, masking, setup, and program modifications.
• Create, modify, and support routine recovery programs using its applicable software for day-to-day production recovery needs.
• Perform existing program modifications in applicable software when changes are within approved process boundaries and do not require new process definition or validation.
• Assist with qualification runs by preparing equipment, verifying setup, executing runs, collecting process data (KPI's), and reporting observations to the assigned Process Engineer.
• Use GOM/Blue Light Scan and other measuring devices to collect and verify process or part data as required.
• Support KPI data collection and reporting activities, including weekly KPI data and monthly KPI reporting as assigned.
• Instruct and assist manufacturing personnel with specific job setup requirements to facilitate stable production.
• Escalate complex technical issues, root cause analysis needs, process changes, parameter changes, cross-qualification needs, or validation decisions to the Process Engineer.
• Manage assigned tasks and projects to meet company needs and deadlines.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations. Must act safely and be responsible for the safety of others around the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position:
