Job summary

LGL Technologies in Prattville is seeking an Area Process Manager Paper to lead day-to-day paper machine operations at the Prattville Mill, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and reliability. You will develop and coach salaried and hourly staff, driving performance through clear expectations and regular one-on-ones.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, knowledge of mill equipment, and excellent communication across all levels of the organization. This is an on-site mill position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in Paper Machine Operations.
• Minimum of five years of management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience in paper machine operations.
• Demonstrated safety commitment and results.
• Instill safety as a core value and communicate a shared vision for safety.
• Thorough knowledge of mill equipment and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Utilize the Paper Change Process to drive change.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

The Prattville Mill is currently seeking an Area Process Manager Paper. The mill produces linerboard and currently employs approximately 600+ people.

The Area Process Manager will assist with managing the day-to-day operation of a paper machine. Provide leadership in a goals-oriented environment to deliver target results in the areas of safety, environmental, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and reliability excellence. Manage the performance and development of salaried and hourly members by setting clear expectations and standards of performance through effective one to ones. This position is responsible for safety, quality, environmental compliance, employee engagement, process productivity, efficiency, reliability, and area financial performance. Responsibilities will also include the direction of technical resources and process experts who support the area.

The Skills You Will Bring:

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Paper Machine Operations.
• A minimum of five (5) years of management experience
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field required or equivalent experience in Paper Machine Operations.
• A demonstrated record of safety commitment and results.
