Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Process and Maintenance Supervisor in West Lafayette, IN, to lead technicians, oversee maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across Manufacturing Operations.

The ideal candidate will have a two-year associate's degree in engineering technology or equivalent experience, plus at least two years of leadership and five years of manufacturing-related technical experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate's degree in engineering technology or equivalent experience.
• Two years of leadership experience.
• Five years of manufacturing-related technical experience with understanding of equipment programming, maintenance and repair.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Define performance standards and set targets for technicians and specialists.
• Assign duties and oversee training needs.
• Troubleshoot processes, equipment, and systems and document failures.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for production equipment.
• Lead continuous improvement activities across Manufacturing Operations.
• Create and update department work instructions.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Promote SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
