Qualifications

  • English fluency (written and verbal) and ability to work 40 hours/week.
  • Preferred: prior internship/co-op, leadership, and interest in AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Use DOE and FMEA to analyze data and improve device performance and yield.
  • Collaborate with device, process, and characterization teams on new features.
  • Identify issues through data analysis and support continuous improvement plans.
  • Assist with new project introduction and coordination with extended module team.
  • Perform all activities safely and comply with environmental, health, safety & security requirements.

As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.Summary of Role:Support process integration of advanced CMOS devices on FinFET and FDSOI technologies. This role will contribute to improvements in device performance, technology yield, Cp/Cpk of inline and electrical parameters, defectivity, and new technology development.Essential Responsibilities include:Use data systems and structured problem-solving methodologies, including Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).Collaborate with device, process module, and characterization teams to support development work for new technology features.Identify issues through data analysis and support timely continuous improvement plans and technical solutions.Assist with new project introduction and characterization, including prioritizing work based on business needs and coordinating tasks with the extended module team.Other Responsibilities:Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.Required Qualifications:Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.Preferred Qualifications:Prior related internship or co-op experienceDemonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning & organizational skillsCoursework or research experience in semiconductor processing, device physics, process integration, or electrical characterization.Experience with data analysis, statistical methods, Design of Experiments, or FMEA.#InternshipProgramUSExpected Salary Range$20.00 - $40.00Expected Salary Range$0.00 - $0.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at usaccommodations@gf.com and let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
