Job summary

You will support process integration of advanced CMOS devices on FinFET and FDSOI technologies, contributing to improvements in device performance, yield, Cp/Cpk, defectivity and new technology

Qualifications

• Sophomore status and pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering in an accredited program.
• GPA 3.0 or higher and in good academic standing.
• English language proficiency (written and verbal).
• Availability to commit at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Internship Program Overview

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary Of Role

Support process integration of advanced CMOS devices on FinFET and FDSOI technologies. This role will contribute to improvements in device performance, technology yield, Cp/Cpk of inline and electrical parameters, defectivity, and new technology development.

Essential Responsibilities Include

• Use data systems and structured problem‑solving methodologies, including Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Collaborate with device, process module, and characterization teams to support development work for new technology features.
• Identify issues through data analysis and support timely continuous improvement plans and technical solutions.
• Assist with new project introduction and characterization, including prioritizing work based on business needs and coordinating tasks with the extended module team.

Other Responsibilities

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications

• Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior related internship or co‑op experience
• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
• Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision‑making.
• Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning & organizational skills
• Coursework or research experience in semiconductor processing, device physics, process integration, or electrical characterization.
• Experience with data analysis, statistical methods, Design of Experiments, or FMEA.
