Job summary

Luminant Power LLC in North Bend, Ohio is seeking a qualified plant maintenance technician to inspect, test, calibrate, and repair process instrumentation and control systems. The role involves working closely with station operators, troubleshooting electrical circuits, installing and wiring control equipment, and ensuring safety practices across operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, knowledge of meters and control systems, and be able to climb and work at elevated platforms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must pass Plant Operator Selection System / POSS/MASS.
• Knowledge of meters, gauges, and control systems.
• Able to climb ladders and work at height.
• Understanding of electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
• Familiar with software used to maintain process control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate valves to control equipment in/out of service.
• Troubleshoot, test, calibrate and repair electrical control circuits.
• Run conduit, install clamps, pull conductors, and connect wiring.
• Megger insulation resistance and brush maintenance on rotating equipment.
• Repair and adjust hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and components.
• Install new control equipment.
• Direct testing of equipment for performance and calibration.
• Maintain equipment related to nuclear radioactive sources and perform tests/calibrations.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate Stack Gas Emission monitoring equipment.
• Instruct and train employees in various classifications.
• Install meters, relays, recorders, switches and related wiring.
• Taping high voltage connections (>6900V).
• Perform similar or less-skilled work.
• Maintain software changes for process control systems.
