  • Refill ink and solvent at each shift start for Inkjet printers.

About the job Process Improvement Technician _ Automotive brake manufacturing

Latter Process Technician (Printer Tech)

Work Schedule: 7:00 a.m. — 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. (including breaks)

Essential Responsibility:

Maintain excellent communication with the Manufacturing Supervisors and Assistant manager.

Daily follow-up of machine Targets and product Quality — understanding the deep reasons for under-achievement, work to identify and improve deficiencies.

High focus on Quality of our Safety related Brake Products

Ability to trouble shoot alpha jet printers and perform maintenance on the printers (Inkjet)

Powder Coating PM and maintenance activities. (Ground wires, Spray heads, all hoses and fittings to remove sticking powder. Entire powder coating system )

Understand the production goals and achieving them.

Performs all other duties as requested or assigned by the Manufacturing Management Team.

List of Key Tasks / Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Printer (Inkjet) setting, maintenance, and trouble shooting.

A. Take care machine start up

B. Take care machine down

C. Refill solvent and ink every beginning of shift (Inkjet only)

D. Daily maintenance and PM

E. Trouble shooting

F. Take care every changeover print setting

G. Investigate when customer complain related with print issue

  1. Perform Powder Coating preventive maintenance as scheduled and trouble shoot issues.

  2. Maintain Safety and Quality

A. By wearing the proper PPE; and supporting the Company’s policies, procedures and attendance.

B. Identify report and or repair unsafe condition on the equipment within the Latter Process.

C. Ensure 1st piece checks are performed correctly when setting up printer.

D. Improve 5S in all areas within the Latter Process.

  1. Assist in corrective action investigation and implementation of countermeasures

  2. Initiate and participate in Kaizen activities

Qualifications

Education / Certifications

High School diploma or GED

Two years’ experience in a manufacturing and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Manages Time and Resources by using tools provided by the Company in order to maximize productivity and to accomplish tasks on time and Tool Management.

Keeps Management Informed by participating in meetings; and by reporting problems to management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems.

Performs Other Duties as assigned by manager, supervisor or other management team member.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Ability to stand, sit, or walk, in office or field duties;

A full range of motion to see, hear, touch, and to observe documents at the office or materials on the field;

Ordinary vision and hearing for communication and observation;

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Experience / Qualification: Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, forms and instructions in English.

Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English and to analyze reports such as production reports

Ability to effectively respond to questions in English

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
