Job summary

Metallus is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern to join our analytics team in Canton, OH. You will participate in AI and advanced analytics projects, performing data preparation, analysis, and visualization while learning our manufacturing processes.

You’ll support continuous improvement initiatives across operations, using data to identify opportunities in OEE, delays, throughput, quality and cost, and present findings at the program’s end.

Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Must have completed 30+ credit hours by Spring 2027.
• Must be a full-time student at an accredited two- or four-year college.
• Preferred majors: Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, CS, Statistics or related.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts.
• Coursework or experience in AI, ML, or data science.

Responsibilities

• Assist with AI and advanced analytics projects, including data preparation, analysis, and visualization.
• Support continuous improvement and process optimization projects within manufacturing operations.
• Use manufacturing, reliability, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities related to OEE, delays, throughput, quality, and cost.
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.

Internship Assignment: Full Time – Summer 2027
