Job summary

Spirax-Sarco Engineering in Cary, IL is seeking a Process Heat Fabricator (1st shift) to join our manufacturing team. You will support the production of heater components, read blueprints, and operate manual and CNC equipment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Candidates should have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, ability to lift 50 lbs, and good communication skills to work alone or in a team.

Qualifications

• Blueprint reading ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 6+ hours.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and procedures; safety is always the top priority.
• Verify raw materials prior to fabrication to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Use measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Operate manual machines such as lathes and mills.
• Perform grinding, chamfering, and deburring of parts according to specifications.
• Drill and tap holes as required by prints.
• Operate pneumatic forming machines and rollers.
• Utilize equipment such as CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC lasers, water jets, and plasma pipe cutters.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure a safe and hazard-free environment.
• Support production flow by picking parts, communicating material needs, and contributing to process improvements when possible.
