Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Process Excellence Associate Intern to join our Process Excellence team in Indianapolis, IN with a hybrid schedule. The 11-week paid internship runs June 1, 2027–August 13, 2027, offering hands-on projects in operational excellence and data-driven process improvement.

You'll support initiatives, analyze data, build process maps and reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while gaining exposure to Labcorp's global healthcare innovations and leadership development

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Science, Statistics, Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ months of experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, or visualization.
• 3+ months of exposure to process automation or robotic process automation (RPA) tools.
• 3+ months of experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support recommendations or decision-making.
• 3+ months of experience creating reports, dashboards, process maps, or presentations.
• 3+ months of experience participating in process improvement, continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Process Excellence initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, consistency, and customer experience.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with implementing process changes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation within PEX systems in accordance with established procedures.
• Support the coordination and execution of process optimization projects.
• Assist with the evaluation and implementation of process automation solutions based on business needs.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize data to support process improvement recommendations.
• Participate in team meetings, workshops, and discussions to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support Process Excellence objectives.
