Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and support systems. The role emphasizes GMP compliance, safety, and documentation in a manufacturing setting.

The Tech 1 level requires an associates degree and 2+ years of related experience, with on-site responsibilities that include operating in a high-demand, industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; associates degree preferred in mechanical maintenance.
• 2-4 years of applicable industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Directly related education or experience may substitute for the stated requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on process equipment and support systems to ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot and perform corrective maintenance on process equipment and support systems.
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System to document activity.
• Follow SOPs, P&ID diagrams, job plans and/or equipment manuals to perform work.
• Adhere to cGMP, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
• Issue/complete job hazard analysis/safe work permits (hot work, excavating, confined space, hazardous atmosphere, etc.).
• Maintain training curriculum requirements.
• Complete required Maintenance Qualifications.
• Assist with modification, installation, and start-up of new and existing equipment.
• Develop knowledge and skills needed to perform the job as required by the area of responsibility.
• Maintain site mechanical equipment including pumps, rotating equipment, piping, valves, and systems.
