Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Process Engineering Technician Intern for its Maple Grove, MN office. The Intern will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project team members to design a variety of water and wastewater treatment projects, including facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and other municipal/industrial infrastructure.

Process Engineering Technician - Maple Grove, MN

AE2S is seeking a Process Engineering Technician Intern for its Maple Grove, MN office. We are a fast-paced, team-oriented and technologically advanced engineering consulting firm. If you are seeking a forward-thinking culture and opportunity for advancement, The Process Engineering Technician Intern will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project team members to design a variety of water and wastewater treatment engineering projects. Project types include but are not limited to treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, pipelines, and other municipal and industrial infrastructure.

• Use established CADD standards to prepare electronic drawings from marked-up plans and/or verbal instruction by engineers/designers.
• Perform design drafting of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and various other facilities.
• Organize and schedule work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate with engineers and other design team members....
• Complete drawing reviews as needed.
• Organize and maintain project files.
• Anticipated startinghourly wage: $19/hour to $23/hourDOE(Compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, etc.)This position will remain posted until it is filled.

Qualifications

Required

• Working towards an Associates degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or related field
• Experienced in AutoCAD
• Ability to work occasional overtime
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Preferred

• Experience with Revit design software
• 2+ year’s experience with AutoCAD
• Design abilities
• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Physical

• Primary functions require physical ability and sufficient mobility to work in an office setting
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
• Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
• Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement
• Fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard
• May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
• May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
• May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
