Q-Clearance Required or Eligible

Are you ready to lead cutting-edge engineering efforts in one of the most innovative sectors in the energy industry? At Global Laser Enrichment (GLE), we’re pioneering the future of uranium enrichment through breakthrough laser technology—and we’re seeking a Process Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our multidisciplinary team.

This is your opportunity to oversee transformative projects that blend scientific rigor with real-world impact. You’ll drive innovation at the intersection of process design, nuclear technology, and energy advancement—all while collaborating with top-tier talent and industry leaders.

Why Join GLE?

  • Make a tangible impact on national energy innovation and security.
  • Lead critical engineering efforts from prototype to production scale.
  • Collaborate with experts across engineering, project management, and regulatory sectors.
  • Competitive salary and benefits in a high-growth, mission-focused company.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and scientists through all phases of process development.
  • Oversee design, modeling, and optimization of uranium enrichment and gas handling systems.
  • Approve critical engineering deliverables: process flow diagrams, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and safety analyses.
  • Guide the development of process models using tools such as ChemCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, Fortran, Python, and Excel.
  • Ensure compliance with rigorous process safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and testing of process components from pilot to production scale.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison with external partners, customers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
  • 10+ years of experience in process engineering, including hands-on system design and operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
  • Expertise in chemical process dynamics, simulation, gas handling, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-clearance (active clearance preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Familiarity with UF6 processing, enrichment cascades, and nuclear regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with ISA, PHA, and NRC licensing requirements.
  • Background in handling cryogenics, corrosive gases, and vacuum systems.
  • Capital project management and budgeting experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD, FEA, or Multiphysics simulation tools.
  • Experience in classified or highly regulated technical environments.

Important Note

Due to the nature of our work, U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a DOE/NRC Q-clearance are required. Continued employment is contingent on the ability to meet strict security and regulatory guidelines.

Step into a leadership role that challenges, inspires, and delivers real-world results. Apply now and help us shape the future of nuclear enrichment technology.
