AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. is seeking a Process Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Bothell, WA. You will assist process and mechanical engineers with the design, analysis, and optimization of industrial systems for power plants, including PFDs, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.

• No prior experience required if you are enrolled in an ABET-accredited associate's or bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• Must have completed 60 hours towards a mechanical or chemical engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic data entry into spreadsheets or databases.

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Process Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Bothell, WA office.

Your Role: Assist process and mechanical engineers in the design, analysis, and optimization of industrial systems and equipment as it relates to power plants. Support the development and review of process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and engineering drawings. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation to communicate project findings and recommendations. Participate in project planning activities, including scheduling, material tracking, and progress monitoring.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a mechanical or chemical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
