Job summary

Stryker is seeking an Engineering Intern in the United States (Wisconsin) to contribute to meaningful projects across Quality, R&D, Design & Development, Product Engineering, Test Lab, Manufacturing and Software. You will work with cross-functional teams to support product design, testing, and manufacturing, while gaining mentorship from leaders and exposure to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Quality: Support initiatives to ensure products meet safety and reliability standards; includes risk management and post-market quality improvement.
• R&D: Contribute to innovation and product improvement.
• Design & Development: Research new technologies; use CAD/FEA/LabView; run simulations and software development for new/existing products.
• Product Engineering: Improve safety, reliability, and performance through testing and design improvements.
• Test Lab: Evaluate prototypes and verify designs with fixture development and tested use.
• Manufacturing: Collaborate with design and operations for lean manufacturing and process validation.
• Software: Design, develop, and test software solutions that integrate with medical technologies.
