Job summary

Shure Incorporated announces a Summer Process Engineering Intern program, a 12-week internship onsite in Niles, IL, starting Summer 2027. Under supervision, you will assist with research, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes and process controls, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, with exposure to lab notebooks, schedules, and project files.

Qualifications

• Requires working toward a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Knowledge of project documentation including schedules, drawings, lab notebooks, progress reports.
• Basic knowledge of engineering software: LabVIEW, PLC ladder logic, MiniTab, MS Office Suite including Project.

Responsibilities

• Learn to create project plans with senior engineers, including schedules and budgets.
• Assist with development and implementation of equipment, controls, and processes for future manufacturing systems.
• Assist with technologies and processes to improve product quality, cycle times, safety, and environmental impact.
• Define equipment requirements and data collection/controls for manufacturing.
• Work with senior engineers on experiments to collect data and set process specifications.
