Job summary

Shure Incorporated in Niles, IL offers a 12-week Summer 2027 New Product Project Management Internship for undergraduate and graduate students. This on-site program provides hands-on experience with NPI tasks, build readiness checklists, and collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams.

Under the Senior Project Manager, the NPM Intern assists with assembly process development, documentation, risk identification, and prototype builds.

Qualifications

Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Project/Product Management, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Basic knowledge of project documentation, including schedules, drawings, reports, and project files.
Classroom knowledge of DfM/DfA, FMEA, Lean, and Six-Sigma are helpful.
MS Office Suite including Project, Excel, and Power Point used in project management.
Must be fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Learn to create manufacturing plans with senior NPMs, including process development schedules and checklists.
Assist with assembly process documents and transfer to NPI Manufacturing Teams.
Help develop efficient assembly methods ready for production launch.
Identify risks in product development and communicate to stakeholders.
Shadow NPMs in NPI meetings and coordinate with project teams.
