Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college, ideally in your last two years of college.
• Suggested majors: Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Ideally intermediate Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
• Availability to work Full time during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Support process engineering activities to learn cheese and dairy processing.
• Assist with line sizing, pump sizing, and valve/control valve sizing calculations.
• Learn sizing calculations and work with mentor guidance and reviews.

Upon joining our team, you will have the support of a network of colleagues and will be instructed and evaluated by a mentor, who will guide and accompany you in your day-to-day activities. In addition, we have an onboarding program designed to better prepare you to put your full potential into action.

This position is based in Winsted, Minnesota.

Salary Range: $22-$25 / hour

Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas, relocation, or housing for these positions.

What you will do

Process Engineering Intern

Duration : May 31, 2027 - April 28, 2028

(Full-time from May 31 - August 13, then part-time max. 20 hours/week)

As our Process Engineering intern for Winsted, you will learn about the process of making cheese and other dairy products as well as the process that goes into sizing and specifying a process line. You will learn about and support us with detailed calculations for line sizing, pump sizing, and valve/control valve sizing.

Suggested majors/courses : Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering.

We believe you have

Current enrollment in college, ideally in your last two (2) years of college, and you are interested in taking your career to the next level.

Suggested majors : Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

Ideally intermediate Excel and Microsoft Word skills

Availability to work Full time during the summer.
