Job summary

MLC is seeking a Process Engineering Co-Op to support engineering, operations and maintenance by improving processes and plant performance. You will analyze data, assist with calculations and support capital projects across facilities, gaining real-world experience in a heavy industrial environment.

You'll develop skills in process optimization, data reporting, safety compliance and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to meaningful projects that enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with sophomore standing or higher.
• Minimum 2.75 GPA required.
• Experience or comfort in industrial manufacturing, mining, and chemical processing environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office apps including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze production, quality, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with engineering calculations, process evaluations, and performance studies.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis investigations.
• Support initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability and productivity.
• Assist with capital and plant improvement projects, including field inspections and startups.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Support plant trials and data-driven decision making.
• Develop reports and presentations for engineering and plant leadership.
