Job summary

Appvion is seeking a Process Engineering Co-Op to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Appleton, WI. You will work with advanced machinery, mentored by a senior engineer, and own meaningful projects that improve plant operations and processes.

Eligibility includes two years of undergraduate study in a relevant engineering field, with opportunities for full-time hire after graduation for exceptional co-ops.

Qualifications

• Two years of undergraduate study in a relevant engineering field.
• Demonstrated interest in manufacturing and process improvement.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to real world problems.
• Safe work habits around heavy equipment and industrial vehicles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety-related concerns and follow manufacturing safety policies.
• Respond to operational upsets, machine downtime and quality issues requiring investigation.
• Collaborate with plant personnel to maintain smooth operations.
• Work with Marketing and R&D on cross-functional projects.
• Prepare and summarize run reports across unit operations.
