Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Process Engineer to lead optimization and R&D across produced-water treatment and freeze desalination operations in Texas. You will analyze plant and lab data, build process models, and develop operating strategies to improve recovery, reduce chemical use, and lower costs.

The role involves leading pilot programs, coordinating multi-team efforts, and supporting technology commercialization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering in listed disciplines.
5+ years of industrial process engineering experience.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience analyzing process performance using plant and lab data.
Proficient in Excel and engineering calculations.
Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
Experience coordinating collaboration across multiple teams/companies.

Responsibilities

Lead process optimization across produced water treatment and desalination systems.
Lead engineering/design for R&D projects in TWS.
Analyze operating data to identify efficiency and cost improvements.
Evaluate existing treatment technologies and recommend enhancements.
Develop process models, mass balances, and operating strategies.
Coordinate pilot tests and field trials as needed.
Prepare evaluations, business cases, and implementation recommendations.
