Job summary

EPCOR is hiring a full-time, permanent Process Engineer to join our North American Commercial Services team in Taylor, Texas. You will manage the full lifecycle of water infrastructure projects, from concept through commissioning, and help shape sustainable utility services across Texas and beyond.

This is a hybrid position requiring travel; your work will include design leadership, contract management, startup activities, and collaboration with operations and regulatory bodies to secure permits

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer’s License in Texas or willingness to obtain one.
• Minimum five years of water/wastewater engineering and project management experience.
• Advanced understanding of water/wastewater treatment systems and current technologies.
• Experience designing and standardizing technical requirements for engineering projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual design and engineering calculations for water projects.
• Lead preliminary engineering efforts for prospective projects.
• Analyze contract terms to mitigate risks and ensure deliverables.
• Select engineering consultants and contractors via value-based bidding.
• Manage and administer contracts and serve as technical lead.
• Review design documents with independent calculations and modeling.
• Manage startup and commissioning plans for new facilities.
• Coordinate design with Operations staff.
• Engage with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals.
• Provide technical support through operating procedures and MOC processes.
