Job summary

Huhtamaki is seeking a Process Engineer in De Soto, KS to analyze manufacturing processes and develop solutions that improve production efficiency and reduce costs. You will support safety initiatives and drive process improvements across multiple areas of the plant.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background with at least 2 years in industry, CMMS/SPC exposure, and AutoCAD experience. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 2 years experience in industrial or mechanical engineering with background in maintenance.
• Exposure to CMMS, SPC, machine design and machine tool technology helpful.
• Auto CAD experience preferred.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes and develop solutions to improve production efficiencies.
• Support safety, ergonomic improvement projects and cost reduction activities.
• Develop and manage process improvement project portfolio.
• Apply analytical methods to identify, define and execute projects.
• Create documentation, sketches and instructions; train operators and maintenance staff.
• Prepare and present reports to management; support CMMS administration.
