Job summary

Best Buy Dublin, GA is seeking an Associate Process Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain engineered labor standards across Distribution Center operations. You will conduct time studies, optimize processes, and document SOPs while collaborating with DC Operations and cross-functional partners.

The role involves training, data-driven analysis, and capacity planning to improve throughput and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or quantitative degree.
• 1+ years of external Supply Chain engineering roles involving process improvement, layout optimization, and/or engineered labor standards.
• Basic knowledge of engineered labor standards and time study methods.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineered labor standards through time studies and analysis; present findings to Engineering leadership.
• Educate DC Operations on standards, observations, feedback, and incentives impacts.
• Maintain DC layouts in AutoCAD and data in StandardsPro; perform time studies with UMT Plus; analyze results in Excel.
• Plan and balance capacity across labor, equipment, and facilities.
• Improve warehouse processes to boost throughput and cut costs; help update policies.
• Use SCI, Red Prairie, BI dashboards to identify direct labor opportunities.
