Job summary

DSJ Global is partnering with a leading agricultural processing manufacturer to fill the role of Process Engineering Subject Matter Expert. You will act as the technical authority for process optimization and ongoing capital projects across multiple facilities in the soybean processing sector.

The role emphasizes leadership in troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives, while maintaining critical engineering documentation and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of process engineering experience in soybean/oilseed processing.
• Experience with optimization, project development, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of process safety and industrial systems.
• PE, PMP, or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for soybean processing and solvent extraction operations.
• Lead troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and process optimization efforts.
• Support safety, quality, yield, throughput, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Develop project scopes, equipment specifications, and engineering design requirements.
• Support capital projects, startups, commissioning, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, and process standards.
• Coach plant teams on process engineering best practices and operational excellence.
