Job summary

SABIC in Selkirk, NY is seeking a process engineer to act as subject matter expert for tank and vessel relief sizing analysis. Develop a site strategy to ensure valid contingency analyses for all site reliefs and oversee implementation with contract resources as needed.

You will support unit engineering, drive tactical and strategic process improvements in EHSS, production execution, cost, stability, and quality; analyze current process capability, identify root causes, and apply manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing experience with process design understanding.
• Demonstrated leadership and project execution track record.
• Strong safety, environmental, and regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for tank/vessel relief sizing analyses.
• Develop site strategy for valid contingency analyses and oversee implementation.
• Drive process improvements in EHSS, production, cost, stability, and quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement process and product changes.
• Mentor and train site engineers and technicians on relief contingency analysis.
