Job summary

Celanese in Bishop, Texas seeks a Process Engineer to support safe, reliable operation of chemical process units through technical stewardship, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

You will work with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive reliability, process safety, MOC and PHA activities, and to optimize energy and material use. Training in PI ProcessBook, Minitab, and Aspen Plus will be provided, with opportunities to lead improvements and assist in outages and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, or related engineering role.
• Reading, interpreting, and modifying P&IDs (P&IDs).
• Using engineering/data analysis tools such as Minitab, PI ProcessBook, Aspen Plus, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Monitor unit performance to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
• Assist with technology standards, procedures, and documentation.
• Support MOC, PHA, and risk reduction activities.
• Assist outages, maintenance, and capital project planning.
