Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking a process engineer to perform engineering assignments for the Engineering Department and act as a technical specialist, developing moderately complex engineering concepts. The role supports refinery operations and process improvements at our Artesia, New Mexico site.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in engineering with emphasis on power distribution and controls; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer preferred.
• Refinery or Petrochemical industry experience preferred.
• FCC, CCR, Alky, Sulfur unit, Delayed Coking, Lubes Processing and hydrotreating experience preferred for Chemical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Use engineering concepts to perform projects for the engineering department with supervision and apply standard techniques and criteria.
• Estimate cost and feasibility, supervise contractors and field activities, provide engineering assistance to colleagues.
• Design and plan layout for chemical processes on a commercial scale and ensure quality standards and cost efficiency.
