PROCESS ENGINEER – PLASTICS EXTRUSION

Step into a hands-on, high-impact role where your problem-solving skills will directly influence production performance and plant efficiency. This is an opportunity for a process-focused engineer who thrives on the floor, enjoys working with production teams, and is excited to take ownership of performance-driven initiatives. You'll lead efforts in root cause analysis, process centering, and continuous improvement of the plastics extrusion process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own production KPIs (downtime, scrap, efficiency) and work hands-on with the extrusion process solve process issues and improve consistency
• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools and structured problem-solving
• Develop and maintain SOPs and production documentation to standardize best practices
• Support line layout and workflow refinements using tools like Visio (CAD experience a plus, but not required)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field preferred but will consider experience in leu of degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on processing experience in a plastics environment. Extrusion preferred but will consider other plastics processing.
• Experienced and enjoys working hands-on with processing, running DOE's to determine root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Interested in working on the floor 50%-75% of your time.
