Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is seeking a Process Engineer in Paw Paw, MI to lead and optimize manufacturing processes in a dynamic West Michigan environment. You will drive efficiency, analyze data, and implement improvements across production teams.

With 3+ years in process engineering and Lean Six Sigma knowledge, you’ll develop SOPs, use SPC/Minitab/JMP, and collaborate with R&D, quality, and production to deploy new processes and equipment while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification recommended.
• Experience with SPC, data analysis, and process simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations and quality issues.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new processes and product introductions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and materials to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Green Belt certification) for process optimization.
• Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and data analysis tools (e.g., SPC, JMP, Minitab).
• Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and P&ID development.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, or equivalent statistical software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with automation technologies and their application in manufacturing processes.
• Project management experience, particularly in implementing new processes or equipment.
