Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Mankato, MN is seeking a Process Engineer to design, implement and optimize industrial processes for efficiency, quality and safety. You will collaborate with production, quality, maintenance and R&D to meet operational and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include developing control strategies, leading trials, validating packaging and ensuring continuous improvement across processes. A strong Lean, ERP and SAP background is highly valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Process, Packaging, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field; or 3 years of experience in Process/Packaging/Manufacturing Engineering; or 7 years in Process Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement process control strategies and standard operating procedures.
Participates in the quoting process and collaborates with customers and vendors in design and development of packaging.
Perform validation of processes and packaging design with emphasis on continuous improvement.
Analyze drawings and specs to determine requirements for protection and transportation of components and engines.
Create drawings, processes, samples and analyses for packaging approvals.
Lead trials, perform experiments and provide recommendations for packaging standards.
Design, develop and implement protective packaging containers, dunnage and engine shipping systems.
Communicate requirements between purchasing and production to facilitate material planning with new suppliers.
Improve processes and presentation of components to the assembly line for quality and efficiency.
