Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Washington state is seeking a Process Engineer to lead technical projects focused on product and process improvements, cost reduction, and profitability. You will collaborate with operations, E&I, and Process Control Engineers to optimize processes, analyze data, and maintain accurate Process Book pages and PI tags.

The role requires a Chemical Engineering or related bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of experience; VBA and PI training are preferred, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in a process engineering role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with macros scripting preferred.
• VBA and PI training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine and implement process changes to improve efficiency and minimize variation.
• Perform daily checks of production output and contributing factors.
• Collaborate with operations, E&I, and Process Control to optimize processes.
• Provide analytical support and problem-solving related to operating processes.
• Develop Process Book pages and PI tags to capture process insights.
• Troubleshoot equipment performance and analyze data from trials.
