Job summary

Moog Space & Defense Group in Blacksburg, Virginia seeks a Process Engineer to join the team reporting to the Value Stream Manager. This onsite role supports slip ring production, manufacturing process development, and cross‑functional collaboration with domestic and international teams.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, plus engineering experience and strong teamwork. A 9‑hour shift schedule Mon–Thu with shorter Fridays is offered, along with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field is required.
• Engineering experience preferred.
• Experience communicating with internal and external customers, coworkers, and other disciplines across the business.

Responsibilities

• Handle projects related to manufacturing, automation, quality, and continuous improvement or 5S.
• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Support the slip ring production departments and Outsource Vendors.
• Oversee the manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team.
• Review and respond to requests for quotes on new orders.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer improvement suggestions for manufacturability.
• Provide reports to management on daily, weekly, and monthly performance to schedules and expenditures.
