Job summary
Qnity Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to support polyimide manufacturing in a batch production environment at the Parlin, New Jersey facility.
You will apply chemical engineering principles, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision making to improve process performance, yield, and cost efficiency. Reporting to Operations, you will collaborate with Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain teams, lead CI initiatives, develop dashboards and KPIs, and drive digital manufacturing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 2+ years in chemical manufacturing or related advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting manufacturing processes in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and process chemistry.
- Experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Polyimide manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Monitor process performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive corrective actions to improve safety, quality, yield, and throughput.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process capability, defect reduction, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze manufacturing and quality data using statistical methods and advanced analytics to identify trends and optimize performance.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical issues and support production objectives.
- Support digital transformation initiatives through the development of dashboards, KPIs, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled manufacturing solutions.
- Lead investigations related to process deviations, customer complaints, and non-conforming products.
- Serve as a key technical resource for manufacturing operations and process-related decision making.
